The work of Chris Byrd is built upon a rigorously structured geometric abstract language that is simultaneously hard-edged and rational yet fluid, lively, and emotional. With such an approach, the artist explores ideas concerning the making of meaning and the nature of existence. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from American University, Washington, DC, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Atlanta College of Art, Atlanta, Georgia. The artist lives and works in Miami, Florida.
