Rocío Rodríguez

Rocío Rodríguez, born in Chihuahua, Mexico, is a multidisciplinary artist currently based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her practice blurs the boundaries between painting and sculpture, challenging conventional forms and expectations. By removing the stretcher and foregrounding the materiality of canvas, Rodríguez transforms what is traditionally a support into a sculptural element in its own right.

Her work embraces impermanence; each installation is unique and cannot be replicated in the same way. As an immigrant, Rodríguez understands adaptation intimately; her art reflects this fluidity, responding to context with resilience and openness.
