Nicole Charre
Nicole Charre is a French-American fine art photographer and a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a B.F.A. in art history. She is on a quest to redefine everyday objects and change our understanding of space and environment. She uses abstraction to refocus our attention in this digital age and attempts to reframe our collective ideas of home and the notion of the mundane by taking photos of objects that would otherwise be perceived as insignificant. She has previously exhibited in a solo exhibition ‘Objects Redefined’ at Majo Design Gallery located in Little River in 2022 and partook in Miami Art Week and Spectrum Art Fair in Miami in 2023. She has also been published and awarded best undergraduate thesis in 2021 for her art history research exploring Alphonse Mucha’s ‘Slav Epic’ while attending SCAD and was a second-round photo finalist for Villa Noailles’s 37th International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories in Hyères, France and was selected as a finalist for the 6th Fine Art Photography awards. She currently resides in Miami, Florida and is the owner of Modern Ordinary LLC.
