Dimensions Variable’s Artist Membership connects artists to visibility, professional resources, direct support, and a broader artist-led community.
Founded and directed by artists, DV understands what it takes to sustain a creative practice. Membership is built to offer practical support, strengthen connections, and expand access to resources and opportunities.
Artists do not need to live in Miami to join. Core benefits are available to members throughout the United States, and additional in-person opportunities are offered through DV’s Miami programs and space.
Membership is $20 per month, with a one-year commitment.

- The online Artist Member Directory
- Artist Member Spotlights
- The Journal & Archive
- Artist Member communications shared throughout the year
- Professional resources
- Digital editorial and curatorial projects
- Eligibility for the Artist Member Microgrant
- Selected national opportunities and partnerships as they develop
Miami-based programs and access to the DV space are additional benefits for members who live locally or are able to visit.
Who Can Join?
The Artist Membership is open to practicing artists based in the United States, at different stages of their careers and working across disciplines, materials, and forms of practice.
Membership does not depend on gallery representation, commercial success, academic credentials, or living in Miami.
Membership applications are reviewed to confirm an active professional practice and alignment with DV’s artist-led community.
A brief application is required for review and to help us learn more about each artist’s practice, interests, and professional needs.
We welcome artists who are interested in:
- Becoming more connected to an artist-led organization
- Accessing professional resources and support
- Sharing their work with a broader artist community
- Learning about the work and experiences of other artists
- Participating in DV’s programs and opportunities when possible
- Supporting an independent nonprofit organization committed to artists
Membership Details
- $20 per month
- One-year membership commitment
- Open to practicing artists throughout the United States
- Juried application required
- Applications are reviewed to confirm an active professional practice and alignment with DV’s artist-led community
- Benefits begin once the application has been approved and membership is activated
- Six consecutive months of active membership are required before applying for the Artist Member Microgrant
- Core benefits are available nationally
- Some services and programs are available only in Miami
- Selected opportunities may require an additional application, invitation, editorial review, or curatorial process
- Membership does not guarantee funding, publication, exhibition participation, or selection for limited opportunities
